The Big Ten Conference is the oldest Division I collegiate athletic conference in the United States. Founded as the Intercollegiate Conference of Faculty Representatives in 1896, it predates the founding of its regulating organization, the NCAA. Though the Big Ten existed for nearly a century as an assemblage of universities in the Midwest, the conference’s geographic footprint now stretches from the Atlantic Ocean to the Great Plains and in 2024 will extend to the Pacific Ocean. The conference has maintained its historic name while expanding to 14 members and 2 affiliate members.

As Covid took hold in America, the Big 10 needed to explain the Covid policies they were enacting to keep everyone safe at their football games. This video was created and sent to fans and universities and was adjusted as more information came available.
OurStrategy
We needed to make sure this animated video was informative while also being entertaining. To accomplish this, we kept the animation continuously moving, the colors bright, and the music and sound effects lively. We started with a storyboard and character design. After working with the client to finalize a script, we put together the first 15 seconds for approval.
